Finley pulls out another. Chiara has two. Annabeth adds one to the growing pile.
I stare.
Muscular men glare seductively from the covers.
Some have glowing eyes.
One has claws.
I'm pretty sure another has fangs.
I look at Carolina.
She places her own paperback delicately on top of the stack.
I blink.
“Are those…”
“Shifter romances,” Finley says.
My heart gives a happy little jump.
“No.”
“Yes.”
“You have a shifter romance book club?”
“We have a romance book club,” Carolina corrects.
Dani waves her paperback. “We just happen to be on a shifter kick.”
I pick up the book nearest me.
“Werewolves?”
“Last month,” Chiara says.
“Bears?”
“February.”
“Dragons?”
Annabeth points at Finley. “She made us read three.”
“They were excellent.”
“They had wings.”
“Exactly.”
I look at the pile again.
Holy shit.
These might actually be my people.
