G crosses one leg over the other, resting her hands on her knee and leaning forward. “Alexei, how long is the drive?” she asks.
He checks the GPS as he pulls out of the airstrip. “About twenty minutes.”
“Where exactly is it we’re going?”
I shake my head, locking eyes with him in the mirror.
“I am not allowed to tell you, Mrs. Sterling. Now, tell me all about this alligator.”
She reclines back and snuggles against me.
“Good try, viper,” I whisper.
Good things come to those who wait. That’s if she even wants to go through with this; I’m leaving the ball entirely in her court.
This ain’t for me, but it’s also part of our relationship we need to move past.
If she wants this, she gets it once and once only. She’s got years of experience she’s missed out on, and I intend to let her explore any fantasy she wishes. So long as it involves me.
CHAPTER EIGHTY-ONE
Gianna
Song- Play with fire- Sam Tinnesz, Yacht Money
Alexei is fascinating. I’ve never met anyone this deranged, which is saying something with the people I’m related to. I can see how he’s an asset though. And I bet he’s loyal to a fault.
We pull up outside raw iron gates that lead to a gravel track. This isn’t the side of Vegas I’ve ever been to.
A grand mansion greets us, and Alexei parks beside the water feature.
“What the hell is this? Are we meeting someone?” I ask, fidgeting with my wedding rings.
I’ve never enjoyed surprises, not that I can recall any good ones.
Colten doesn’t respond; instead, he gets out of the car and comes to open my door, holding out his hand.
“Have fun!” Alexei calls out. “I’ll be back tomorrow morning for you.”
“Is this a hotel?” I ask, taking Colt’s hand.
He lifts me out and wraps an arm around my waist. “So many questions.”
“Well, yes. This looks like a weird hunting estate the rich come to.”
He chuckles, guiding me towards the front of the house. Before we reach the first step, the wooden doors swing open, and we’re greeted by two blonde girls in tight leather dresses.
I stop.
“Welcome to Paradise Palace.”
Their smiles beam, and we keep walking into the grand hallway. Guests are sitting and sipping champagne. They don’t even look at us when we enter.
We follow the girls to the desk; the one on the left is eye fucking my husband. I snatch my hand from Colten’s and clench my fists.
“Have you been here before? It says you’re exclusive guests of Mr. Volkov,” the girl says.
Blood pounds in my ears.
