Pinning them above my head against the bookshelf.

Tension mixed with rage pulsed between us. Mostly my rage, but he wasn’t exactly thrilled that I’d destroyed his stuff.

Although he was doing a much better job of containing himself.

“Keira,” he said slowly. “What are you doing?”

I pressed my lips together and glared into his azure eyes. Those fucking beautiful eyes.

Eyes that made every girl’s panties drop. Including mine.

“I thought that was pretty obvious.”

He cleared his throat, clearly fighting the urge to roll his eyes. “Let me rephrase. Why are you tearing apart my office with Kaz?”

“Ah, so it is your office.”

“Yes.”

“Because I wanted to,” I finally answered.

He inhaled slowly, trying to be patient. “Why?”

I shrugged.

“Are you jealous?”

“No,” I snapped. “No, I… uh, I don’t fucking know.”

“But you’re angry?”

As if summoned by his words, my anger churned in my stomach again. This fucking Fury rage was hard to truly diffuse.

“You’re possessive and don’t want anyone else to touch me.” It wasn’t a question. He stated it as fact.

“Obviously,” I said through gritted teeth.

“And so you decided to destroy my office?”

“Decided would be giving me too much credit. I saw you flirting, and this is what happened. I’m a redheaded Irish girl with a fiery temper. What else did you expect?”

He shrugged this time and released my wrists.

“I am unmoored,” I said, more to myself than to him. “And I am falling apart.”

He cupped my face and stared into my Fury, meeting it with a dark calmness.

Tension licked at my core as I glared into his liquid-blue eyes. Molten and filled with secrets and danger.

His thumb trailed over my lower lip, and that was it. I’d had enough of the unfulfilled tension and heated stares.

That was it.

I closed the distance between us and captured his lips in a violent kiss. It was too good.

He was too good.

I bit his lip and deepened the kiss. I was lust sculpted from fury. Untamed fire and need. And this man would give me what I wanted.
