I’m pinned.
Blushing.
Breathing like an idiot.
His gaze flicks between my eyes, my mouth, and the flush I’m sure is crawling all the way down my throat now. He looks mesmerized again, that same focused hunger he gets when he’s drawing me, except this time there’s no sketchbook between us.
“You make the prettiest expressions when you’re angry.”
I make a strangled sound. “You’re sick.”
“Yeah. I think I am.”
His fingertips slide to the side of my neck, brushing the pulse there, and it jumps wildly under his touch.
His mouth curves, small and dark. “You will be mine.”
My eyes widen. “Excuse me?”
He leans closer. Close enough that if I lift my head even an inch, something disastrous will happen. “You heard me.”
My whole body feels molten and murderous at once.
I twist, throwing everything I have into one last attempt to break his hold, and the bastard answers by taking away the last fucking inch of freedom I have. His thigh slides between mine, locking my leg in place, while his hand closes around my wrists. Unbeknownst to him, it hurts. His grip isn’t tight enough to bruise me, but he’s pressing against skin that’s already wrecked.
“Let. Me. Go.”
His nose nearly brushes mine. “Ask nicely.”
“I hope you get hit by a train.”
His smile deepens. “That’s not nice.”
“Neither are you.”
“I’m very nice.”
“You’re currently holding me down.”
“I’m aware.”
“You’re a psychopath.”
“Your type, apparently.”
“Kento.”
“Ilya.”
The way he says my name is fucking obscene. Two syllables, and somehow he makes them feel like a hand closing around my throat. It crawls beneath my skin, and I want to claw myself open just to get the sound out of me. Then his thumb strokes my cheek again, gentle. The tenderness is insulting, coming from the same hand holding me down like prey.
“I missed touching you.”
I scoff, then plant my foot against his hip and shove.
Kento lets me throw him off.
I get to my feet fast, anger burning hot enough to cauterize the embarrassment, and put space between us before my body can betray me again. My chest is rising too quickly, my pulse still all over the place, and I know he can see it.
