“I need you both. Won’t you hold me, please?” she says in a tone soft enough to melt through my rage.
“Of course.” I let her snuggle up to me, trying not to think about how Castor is only inches away.
As we step back inside, we’re greeted by the long hallway that leads off to the dozen private rooms. Some are themed, according to conversations I’ve overheard. Though I’ve never been inside any of the rooms to check.
Pirate ships. Faerie woods. A dark throne room. Back in our manor, Castor allegedly has a sex room themed to Winterfeast where you can wrap your lover up like a gift and ravage them under a decorated tree.
Perhaps if I ever decide to forgive Castor, I will one day feel generous enough to let him wrap Eden up for me. She’d look utterly divine tied up with a ribbon. Her soft curves hugged by the shiny satin—
“Oh you must stop this at once, you monsters!” A nude woman tumbles out of a room and almost crashes into us.
Eden squeaks in surprise, jumping back into both of our arms.
When the woman is chased by two shirtless men, it takes a few moments for what I’m seeing to catch up with me.
The woman has long, familiar ginger curls. One of the men, her husband, glances at us and stifles a laugh. While the other man, a faerie I haven’t seen before, dips his head in greeting.
“Lady Charlotte,” I address the woman at the same time Eden bursts forward and pushes her behind her.
“Are you alright?” Eden panics before snarling at the men, “Get away from her!”
Castor laughs while I just shake my head. “Eden, you’ve misunderstood this.”
Charlotte places a hand on Eden’s shoulder. “Thank you for stepping in, but I promise you I am quite safe with these two.” She steps around her with a giggle. “You could say I’m in very good hands.” She walks her fingers down her husband’s chest.
Eden gasps. “But you just… you told them to stop and you were running, and—”
“She didn’t use her safeword so her words were merely part of the scene, just like you saw before.” Castor takes Eden’s hand and guides her back to us.
I scowl at the memory of Eden overhearing Charlotte’s ‘adventures’ back at our manor. When I saw how upset she was, I could barely breathe. Given Charlotte and William were only using the facilities my brother set up for them, I didn’t punish them for it.
Castor on the other hand…
“But I don’t understand this!” Eden’s face scrunches up. “How do you know that she’s enjoying it and not just running away because she wants it to stop?” Her curious tone makes my brow shoot up.
“Well…” William runs a hand through his hair.
“Allow me,” Castor chuckles, leading Eden away from the group. “Lux and I are going to need to give you a few lessons in how to engage in consensual rough play. Isn’t that right, Lux?” He glances back at me as I feel myself nodding, even though my mind feels very far away.
“Are you alright, Lux?” William asks once the door has shut behind Castor and Eden.
Charlotte and the other faerie have wandered back into the private room. I can see glimpses of what appears to be a dungeon-themed bedchamber, most likely inspired by the demon court based on the black chains swinging from the ceilings and its blood-red walls.
“Yes. I’m fine,” I lie. “I should go.” Castor is probably out there running his hands down my mate while I’m standing here like a fool.
“Lux, wait,” William starts. “If I can give you some advice…”
I’m about to tell him that he may not when Charlotte’s loud moan interrupts us both.
“Sorry,” William laughs quietly. “She’s been ravenous for this all week.” He watches his wife leaning back on some kind of bench while the faerie licks from her belly button up towards her breasts.
“As much as I love her, my love alone will never satisfy the needs we both have. I brought her here as an early Winterfeast gift.” He grins eagerly as she arches her back. “We’re so grateful that Castor opened this place for all his members while your manor is closed. Especially with the faeries here being so good with her.” He looks again at his wife, his gaze as hungry as hers as the faerie moves up to kiss her.
I glance between them, my lips pressing together. “Would you ever let her love another?”
William looks at me. “What do you mean?”
My jaw clenches. “If Charlotte came to you and said she wished to invite that faerie into your marriage, or better yet, if that faerie told you that he had a mating bond with your wife… would you accept it?”
