He grinds, hitting my clit, and I fall. Waves of pleasure roll through me, and I tip my head back, my groans getting lost in the wind and thunder. I look at the sky, my body tightening around him.
“Babe…bond,” I rasp.
“Shit, yes,” he grits out. “That’s it.” We move across the ground with the force of his motion. “Squeeze me.”
His movement becomes short as he releases inside me, the warmth prolonging my orgasm. He glides once more and holds still, remaining deep. The tension releases, and my body sags. I look at him, my breath harsh. He kisses my head, the tip of my nose, then one cheek, then the other, before moving to my mouth. He strokes his tongue deep, once, twice, before easing back.
We stare at each other, and the world settles. The rain slows, and the wind stops. Archer lifts his hand and presses his palm against my chest. The magic of our love flows between us, and I feel calm, satisfied, and a sense of belonging that is hard to describe. I pull my arms, caressing across his skin, before wrapping them around his shoulders.
“You’re covered in flowers,” I whisper, and grin.
“I don’t care,” he says roughly.
“You’re wet,” I state, and bite my lip.
“So are you,” he replies with a grind of his hips.
“Oh, yeah,” I sigh.
He smirks, kisses me hard, and eases back. “I don’t want you to be cold.” He gathers me in his arms, and I wrap him up. “Let me take care of you.”
I snuggle close, laying my head on his shoulder. “Okay.”
I'll never forget this night. Archer made it special. The bond is complete, and he is officially mine.
And I am his.
Chapter Twenty-Four
Archer
Margarete was right. The bond is unlike anything I've ever felt. Sex has never been a consuming experience. It’s a release, and I never wanted to deal with the emotions or entanglements. Savy is sexy, and her body gives me so many ideas, yet it was much more than that.
Holding her close, I stroke her back as she lies on my chest. Her damp hair slides over my skin. We showered quickly, and I dried her hair as much as I could. She couldn’t keep her eyes open to dress, so her naked body is pressed against mine. I’m tired, but I remain awake, too many emotions running through me. I feel Savy inside my soul. Her magic blends with mine, and I feel like I finally found a home. My spells are quiet and content.
Having her love me is the best gift I've ever experienced. I’ve had doubts, yet the magic never lies. I feel more powerful than ever before, and in control. Even though being with her was outstanding, it wasn’t just about physical release.
For as long as I can remember, a ball of guilt and anxiety has filled my body. I denied its existence and pretended I was fine. Instead of working through the emotions, I hoped someday they would go away. I didn’t know how, but now I do. When Savy smiled at me, something broke through my defenses and shone light on all the things I wanted hidden. She's given me the confidence to find my dad, to live again, and to love.
I cover her hand that's on my chest, pull her tighter, and close my eyes.
She has shown me the beauty of magic again. I admire her strength, and it has inspired me. I want to move on with her, and I need to find my dad in order to do that.
Even if I don’t like what I find.
I lean against my bike, Savy beside me, and stare across the park.
After we completed the bond, we spent the next day getting lost in each other. That night I had a dream. My mom was happy. I walked into the kitchen while they were dancing. She held out her hand, and as I gripped it, she placed it over Dad’s.
I know she approves of my decision today.
“We can leave,” Savy whispers.
“No.” I roll my shoulders and take a deep breath.
She slides her hand in mine, and we walk toward the man who’s sitting on the bench, facing the water.
It was easy to find my dad. Savy did a location spell with me, and instantly I knew where he was. I tried not to read into the fact that he was only two hours away. In the spell, I saw him sitting at this park at the same time every day. My bond eagerly agreed to come with me to speak to him. She wants me to have answers, yet I think partly she was excited to ride the bike.
