“I want to see you come.” She smirks and tightens her fingers.
How can I deny her?
She presses her breasts against me and continues the motion. I don’t remember the last time I got a hand job from someone else. All I can focus on is her taste and moans. I was on the edge, and I’m trying to last longer than five pumps. Witnessing the beauty of her pleasure is playing over and over in my head. Staring into her eyes, seeing her eagerness to touch me, brings me to the brink quickly.
“Savy,” I growl, unable to control myself. “Baby.”
I fall over, tightening, covering both of us in warmth. The tension releases, and sparks float through the air. Luckily, nothing fell over, and my spells reside inside me.
“Feel better?” She wiggles her eyebrows.
I laugh. “Yeah, Wild One.” I shake my head, amazed at her ability to make me lose control and find humor in it.
“Good.” She removes her hand. “I get the bathroom first.” She winks, kisses me, and rolls across the bed.
I stare at her ass as she wanders toward the bathroom.
“Savy,” I say softly, and she pauses.
“Hmm…” She glances over her shoulder.
“Thank you for trusting me,” I say roughly.
She tilts her head, turning slightly. “The second I saw you, I did. Trust. I knew you would change my life in wonderful ways.” She smiles gently. “I hope you begin to believe it, too.”
She enters the bathroom, and my heart pounds.
Fuck. I rub my chest. Love and belief are emotions I gave up on a long time ago.
Savy has given me hope.
Chapter Thirteen
Savy
Iwake up, not in the real world, but in a dream.
My creepy neighbor is touching himself while staring at his best friend's wife. She's dancing for him, a sultry smile on her face.
Gross.
I have a dilemma. Should I change the dream? If I get involved, it could backfire. I could replace the woman's face with his wife's. Give him a nudge in the right direction, but I doubt it will make a difference. Once I use my magic, it will leave a trail, and I don’t want to be involved with Brad at all.
I sneer at him. Suddenly, a visual of me appears with the woman.
No. Nope.
Out, out, out.
The scene blurs, and I blink. A nightmare. Archer’s nightmare. The room is dark, and shadows dance on the walls. Black lightning flashes, and an eerie silence envelops the space. His mom isn’t here, but his dad is, and I cover my mouth. The pain and hatred in his expression make me want to cry out. A little version of Archer is on his knees in front of him, his cheeks streaked with tears. They stare at each other, locked in anger and desperation. There's broken furniture around the room, and the stench of mold fills the air as if they're still locked in the old house. It must be where they lived, and my heart aches. He not only relives his mom’s death, but he also has a constant reminder of his dad’s abandonment.
I want to hug him and take him away.
Stepping forward, neither of them looks at me. I'm invisible to them, but it’s possible to reach Archer. I can change what he sees. I crouch in front of my soul bond.
“Archer, I’m here,” I whisper, and press my knuckles against his jaw. “It’s only a dream.”
There's no recognition, and his focus remains on his dad.
