I reached for my phone.

Pulled up Kiana’s number and called.

She answered on the third ring.

“What’s up, Lev?”

“Xay bring anything on that fifteen?”

“Nope.”

“When the last time you talked to him?”

“Earlier this week. He know Friday the deadline.”

“Aight.”

I hung up.

Tyler stared at me.

“You still making that nigga pay you?”

I looked at him.

I chuckled.

I poured a little more into my glass.

“That’s Xavier Lawless.”

And apparently, I ain’t know that nigga nearly as well as I thought I did.
