Still, a minute later, I was standing in front of the mirror washing my hands with my panties sitting inside my purse.
I looked at myself.
“You’ve lost your fucking mind.”
Maybe I had.
Because I walked right back out.
Levin was exactly where I left him.
I sat down.
My heart was beating entirely too fucking fast.
“I did it,” I said quietly.
He nodded.
“Let me see.”
I reached for my purse.
“No.”
My hand stopped.
He looked down between my legs.
“Let me see.”
“What?”
“You heard me, Samantha.”
I stared at him.
He turned toward me completely.
“Open up.”
“I—Levin, you’re Xay’s brother.”
“I know who I’m related to.”
His eyes stayed on mine.
“And I know you heard me too.”
I don’t know what the fuck came over me.
Maybe the liquor.
Maybe being tired of hearing no.
Maybe being tired of feeling like wanting something nasty made me something other than the woman Xay married.
Whatever it was, my knees separated.
