Silence.
For about three seconds.
Then giggling.
I shook my head.
The knock came.
Xay opened the door.
Levin stood there.
And just like that, my stomach did some stupid shit.
Gray sweats. Black hoodie. Beard lined up. Calm-ass face like he hadn’t watched me fucking his brother last night.
Because I’m pretty damn sure he had.
I wasn’t thinking about that right now.
Levin looked past Xay into the apartment.
His eyes found me.
Stayed there for half a second.
Then went right back to his brother.
“You got something for me, nigga?”
Xay’s face tightened.
“Are you for real? Right here? At my house, my nigga?”
Levin frowned.
“Nigga, your wife should know that you in debt to me.”
My head snapped toward Xay.
“What?”
Levin looked at me.
“This nigga owe me twenty bands.”
My mouth dropped.
“Twenty thousand dollars?”
“And from the look on your face,” Levin said, looking back at his brother, “he been hiding that shit from you.”
“Xay?”
“It ain’t shit.”
“What the fuck you mean it ain’t shit? Twenty thousand dollars is shit.”
