Then finally looked at me.

I blinked.

For half a second, hope hit me.

Then he killed that shit.

“Don’t mean I gotta forgive you.”

I started crying harder.

“Please don’t do this.”

Keith walked over and carefully placed Carter in my arms.

Then he kissed the top of her head.

My face crumbled.

He looked at me.

“You need to figure out where you and Carter going.”

“And whatever you decide to do with that pregnancy?”

His eyes dropped toward my stomach before coming back to my face.
