“You wouldn’t believe me if I told you.”
I waved him off.
“Yeah, aight, nigga.”
He chuckled and tossed his phone onto the couch beside him.
“How you holding up?”
“I’m good.”
“That’s a lie.”
“I said I’m good.”
“How court go?”
I sucked my teeth.
“Bullshit.”
“How much?”
“Hundred sixty-eight a week.”
Levin nodded.
“That ain’t crazy.”
I frowned.
“The fuck you mean that ain’t crazy?”
“For your kid?”
“Heather don’t need that shit.”
“It ain’t for Heather.”
“That’s what everybody keep saying.”
“Because that’s how child support works, dumbass.”
“I take care of Collin.”
“You also got six kids.”
“Okay?”
“And another one coming.”
I stared at him.
“Why everybody keep counting my fucking kids like I don’t know how many I got?”
Levin laughed.
“Because apparently you didn’t know when to stop making them.”
