“This doesn't concern you, Mister!”
“Actually—”
I spin and point at Grimm.
“No.”
He stops.
“You don't get to threaten anyone else on my behalf until you explain what the hell is happening.”
His jaw snaps shut.
Oh my Goddess.
I just shushed my possible mate. Dora makes a strangled noise. I refuse to look at her.
“And you—”
I turn back to Coach.
“—are finished.”
“I'm not—”
“Finished.”
He looks between me and Grimm.
Whatever he sees makes his jaw clench. But finally, finally, he walks away. And I watch him go.
My knees choose that exact moment to remember they're attached to me.
They wobble. Just once. But I stay upright.
A tiny, fierce little spark of pride catches fire inside my chest and it’s like nothing else I’ve experienced.
You see, I did that.
Me.
I stood up for myself and squashed a problem with one helluva confrontation.
Nobody rescued me. Nobody spoke for me.
I just said no. And when he refused to hear it, I said it louder.
Well, well. Look at me.
Maybe Professor Daniels has some balls under all this gauze.
“Agatha.”
Right. Back to my man problems.
I turn around.
Grimm hasn't moved. His eyes are fixed on me.
