“Now move.”
“As you wish.”
He went slowly at first, long strokes that made her feel every inch of him leaving and returning. Jodie held him closer, mouth against his shoulder to muffle the sounds she couldn’t quite control.
Mac kissed her throat as he increased his pace. The tent filled with the sounds of their breathing, the soft rustle of the sleeping bags beneath them, and the unmistakable rhythm of their bodies coming together.
Jodie felt her body tightening as it built toward her orgasm. This one wouldn’t be as quick as the previous one. It would be deeper.
Mac braced himself over her and changed the angle. His mouth found hers.
“Oh.”
“That?” he asked against her lips.
“Yes.”
He did it again. Jodie dug her nails into his shoulders.
“Again.”
Mac gave her exactly what she asked for until the pressure began gathering too quickly for her to follow.
“Oh, God. Mac.”
“I’ve got you.”
Of course you do.
Then he shifted his weight onto one forearm, slipped his other hand between them, and found her clit. Jodie bit his shoulder. Mac jerked. He turned his head and caught her mouth with his. He worked his fingers harder against her clit.
Jodie came again. This time Mac followed. His thrusts lost their rhythm. He buried his face against her neck, his body tightening as he groaned her name against her skin. They held each other through their pleasure.
For a long moment neither of them moved. Then Mac carefully lowered himself beside her and pulled her into his arms. Jodie tucked herself against his chest.
Outside, the camp remained quiet. Apparently they hadn’t awakened anyone.
Thank God.
Mac kissed the top of her head. “You okay?”
“More than okay.”
His fingers moved lazily through her hair. Somewhere outside, a coyote started up again and thought better of it.
“Ranch Girl?”
“Mm.”
“What time’s the briefing?”
Jodie did the math, which took longer than it should have. “Four-thirty.”
Mac was quiet for a second. “And it’s what now?”
“I’m not going to look.”
“Probably wise.”
