Locked & Loaded

Eight hours to Copenhagen. One tiny sleeper compartment. And the last teammate on earth Mads wants to share it with.

Goalie Mads Holm has one problem this season, and its name is Christopher Rodriguez. Ever since the infuriatingly unreadable defenseman transferred over from their biggest rivals, Mads’s game has been falling apart, and he knows exactly who to blame. So when their coach assigns the two of them to the same compartment on the overnight train after their worst loss of the season, Mads figures the night can’t get any worse.

Then the door jams shut, and nobody on the other side can hear them.

Defenseman Chris Rodriguez left a championship-winning team without ever saying why, and he’d like to keep it that way. He’d also like to keep his months-long crush on Mads Holm hidden from his new teammates—and from the furious Danish goalie himself, especially since Mads seems convinced Chris is ruining his life. But as the night stretches on and his claustrophobia tightens its grip, Chris’s famous composure begins to crack. And the one man who was never supposed to see him fall apart has a front-row seat.
