Vale Valley. His fingers were intertwined with Sean’s and he clutched his shirt with the other hand.

He hadn’t seen the point in putting it back on.

“It’s on the second floor.”

Sean’s nervousness was apparent through the timbre of his voice, through the random comments

he’d rattled off ever since they’d left the lake. As they entered the elevator, Avi tugged Sean to his

side in silent reassurance. Sean trembled in his arms and Avi brought their joined hands to his mouth

to place soft kisses on Sean’s knuckles. The closer they got to being alone, the harder he’d become.

The pants needed to go the way of the shirt very soon.

“Well, we’re here.”

Sean gazed up at him with flushed cheeks and wide eyes. Avi wanted to keep Sean from that

moment on, but he’d wait for as long as Sean needed. Moving him in right away might be too much for

the young man all at once. A private space of his own would probably give him a welcome

opportunity to process the change in his circumstances.

They stood in front of the closed door in silence while Sean continued to stare at him.

“Should we go inside?” Avi held in a chuckle so as not to embarrass his little swan.

“Oh, sure.” Sean dug around in his jeans then plucked a key from his back pocket. “Here it is.”

He proudly held it up.

Avi’s lips twitched. “Are you teasing me?”

“Huh?”

“You told me you wanted to show me something in your room.” Avi arched one eyebrow.

Sean snorted. “I didn’t mean that.” He ducked his head. “At least not first thing.”

Avi wrapped his hand around Sean’s nape. “As long as I’m with you, whatever we do will

make me happy. Come on. Let’s go inside.”

Sean nodded then unlocked the door. As they passed through the threshold, Sean flipped the

lights on and Avi glanced around the room, trying to get more of a sense of what his mate was all

about. His gaze landed on the guitar lying across the neatly made-up bed.

“That’s very nice. Did you buy it the other day from the thrift shop?”

“I did! Do you like it? I love it.”

“I do. And I’m glad you’re enjoying it so much.” Avi ran his fingers through Sean’s long bangs.

“Now that you know how much I love music, you’ll have to play it for me some time.”
