“I’d like that.”
She doesn’t answer. She looks up at me instead, and neither of us says anything. Neither of us looks away, and I watch her breath go shallow.
Oh, fuck this!
“I can’t wait,” I rasp, moving in and slamming my mouth down on hers.
I swallow her gasp and half expect to find myself shoved back, but then she moans, the most delicious sound that shoots straight to my cock, and I nearly lose my damn mind.
My hands circle her waist, and I lift her onto the desk, settling between her thighs as I kiss her. I groan at the taste of her, feeling intoxicated off the sweetness of her mouth, needing more. Her arms circle my shoulders, whimpering into my lips, rocking needily against me.
My left hand tunnels into her hair, and the other moves to her tits, swallowing her moan when I stroke a nipple over her top. She whimpers when I press my cock against her heat, rubbing against where she’s hot and wet through the fabric of her pants. I’m damn near about to tear off our clothes when someone knocks on the door.
Margot jerks at the sound, scrambling to get off the desk. She’s barely turned around when the door is pushed open. I step in front of Margot to shield her just as Gary, one of my security people on the casino floor peeks in. He doesn’t bat an eye at the woman behind me hurriedly tugging on her jacket. Barely glances her way.
“Hey, Prez, we have a problem.”
It must be serious for him to come up here himself, so I push down the irritation at the interruption. “I’ll be right down,” I tell him.
He nods and leaves, shutting the door behind him.
I let out a sigh as I turn around, but I don’t need to see her face to know that whatever spell was there moments ago has long been broken.
Fuck.
Chapter Three
Margot
My cheeks burn, and I’m pretty sure I’m about to spontaneously combust. I can’t look him in the eye as I button my jacket, afraid of what he’ll see on my face. Or what I’ll read in his.
Desire. Need. Arousal…
I wanted this. Heck, I hoped the stranger would kiss me from the second he touched me. I sensed it in the way he looked at me, the way those long, calloused fingers stroked my skin. Then he was touching me, his hand in my hair. And he was kissing me.
And now that my head is clearing, other things are surfacing with it.
He knew where my office was. He didn’t ask, didn’t look for a sign, just walked me through my own restaurant like he’d built it. He waved Kira off without a word, and she stopped. Security came running to a man who never called them.
I don’t know who I just kissed.
This has never happened to me before. Not the kiss. And not the touch.
“I need to go.”
His voice barely registers over the frantic pounding of my heart. When I raise my eyes to his face, it’s to find his blue eyes watching me, making me flush deeper. I manage a nod, or maybe it’s a weird head bobble. I can’t tell. All I know is I feel clumsy, out of sorts, like a puppet on strings.
I just kissed a customer.
Kill me now!
He watches me for a few more seconds, and when I don’t say a word, he turns to leave. My heart is pounding hard against my ribs, and I’m afraid I’ll open my mouth and say something embarrassing, but I can’t just let him leave.
“Um…wait.”
He stops, turns around, and gives me a look that makes my knees go weak. For one brief second, I wonder how someone can be that handsome. How unfair it is to the rest of the male population who have to compete with that.
“Thank you for coming to my rescue.”
