Gryphon’s Fire

Keir’s laughter increased. “True enough.”

The timer on the oven signaled the roast was done. “Sit down and allow me to fill your plate.”

Keir leaned in and kissed me. “My plate is already full, but I appreciate your consideration.” Releasing me, Keir settled at the table, his happy hum filling the air with joy.

Had three days gone by yet? I wasn’t certain but hoped not. I could happily stay here, tangled within these soiled sheets for a month, maybe more. Just as I’d thought, Keir had nothing to be concerned about. His body was just as responsive as my fantasies predicted. More so. Even if it hadn’t been, I would not have complained. There was so much more to the gryphon I loved than sex alone. Not that the sex wasn’t amazing. Fantastically so.

Keir was currently on his back, eyes closed and breaths even. Dried cum covered his chest and groin. I’d licked much of it from his body but hadn’t been able to get it all. My own cum dripped down his inner thighs, sticking to the sheets. We’d already changed the sheets twice. I had two more sets ready and waiting. Perhaps we’d change them again before I could get inside Keir again.

My cock had found its new favorite home and Keir’s body was more than willing to provide it shelter. I’d taken Keir inside me once and while that had been a wondrous experience, we both found that Keir loved being on the receiving end, and I was more than happy to comply. Nothing brought me joy like pleasing my mate.

And that’s exactly what Keir was now. The healing bite wound on his shoulder was the final proof. Although not a typical part of gryphon bonding, Keir had bitten me as well. I wasn’t certain his bite was deep enough to scar. If not, I’d ask him to freshen the wound every damn day.

“You’re staring,” Keir said, his voice scratchy. I liked to think his throat was raw due to his screams of pleasure. Taking me down his throat twice might have added to his vocal weariness.

“It is a pleasant view,” I answered with absolutely no shame. Why should I feel such a useless emotion? “You are a vision.”

Keir huffed. “What I am is sticky.”

“And you smell divine.” I leaned in and nuzzled Keir’s groin, inhaling deeply. Our mingled scents were absolute perfection.

Keir’s quick inhale and thickening cock rewarded my actions. “How can I still be this wound up? My balls have to be empty by now.”

I cupped those beauties. “They still feel full to me.”

Keir’s groaned pleasure filled up all the empty spaces I’d unknowingly been carrying around. “Goddess, the things you say and do.” He tossed his head back and forth. “I never want you to stop.”

“That is fortunate because I never will.” Unfortunately, Elvira had other ideas.

“Your three days are at an end,” Elvira’s flat, unemotional voice dropped into the room like a stone, making me groan and Keir scramble for cover.

“Some privacy, Elvira!” Keir scolded.

“I have averted my eyes. I no more wish to see your naughty bits than you wish them seen. I was emotionally scarred enough during my living days. I do not need to add to the trauma during my undead ones.”

Elvira said the words casually, yet there was a wealth of hurt beneath them. Keir squeezed my arm, reminding me now was not the time for such questions.

“You should thank me,” Elvira continued. “I came to warn you that Vi and Blu are on their way back. I believe you have Henry to thank for egging them on, although it is my understanding that the young ladies have been eager to see you again. They should arrive within the next seven minutes.” Elvira huffed. “Clothed or unclothed, what manner you greet them is entirely up to you.” Grumbling, Elvira’s form dissipated. A mumbled “I swear, this place is turning into a brothel” passed her lips as she disappeared.

Keir’s groan was muffled below the pillow thrown over his head. Lifting the sheets he’d hastily pulled over himself, it was easy to see my mate no longer felt amorous.

“Bit of a mood killer,” I lamented.

“You think?” Keir pulled the pillow away long enough for me to see his large, disbelieving eyes. “Now I understand what Martin and Grayson have been complaining about. We need to come up with a better warning system than sending Elvira in—for all our sakes.”

I couldn’t argue the point. What I wanted to argue was that our three days were at an end. Time really did fly when you were having fun.

Pushing the pillow off his face, Keir stared up at the ceiling. “We should get up and get dressed. I know that, and yet…is it so wrong to want to stay here? I haven’t felt this…” Keir struggled for words. “I was going to say relaxed or maybe content, but how I feel goes so far beyond that. I don’t think I’ve ever felt this way before, and it’s difficult to put into words. I’m so at peace. I can’t remember the last time my chest didn’t ache from worry, anxiety, grief, guilt, or some other toxic emotion. But right now, at this very moment, none of those feelings exist. Instead of feeling caved in, my chest feels full.” Eyebrows scrunching, Keir looked to me, his eyes lost in a sea of confusion. “Does that even make sense?”

I leaned over, peppering his face with kisses. “It makes perfect sense, my mate.”

Keir released a contented sigh. “Mate. I like the sound of that.”

“That is fortunate because I plan on reminding you frequently.”

Keir’s answering grin lit up his face and pushed away the dark shadows that had been lingering there since the day we met. “You may feel free to remind me whenever you feel like it.”

Our lips met in an eager embrace. I would never tire of kissing Keir, of touching his skin and tasting his flavor. Keir’s answering groan shot a spark of heat straight to my groin. We conveniently forgot that our nieces were on their way. Our forgetful natures did not negate the fact that Vi and Blu were indeed on their way back home.
