Gryphon’s Fire
Betrayal is a heavy word, and gryphon, Keir Montenegro, has lived with the burden of its weight far too long. Wise, conscientious, and loyal to a fault, Keir struggles to put the past behind him and embrace his future as the director of the Magical Usage Council—a future filled with promise, possibility, and if he’s truly fortunate, love.
Loss has consumed wyvern, Lazarus Azure, since his sister Vidia’s murder. Learning Vidia’s offspring were still alive alleviated that loss. However, protecting his future nieces or nephews from Vidia’s murderer left Lazarus bloody and scarred. Lazarus is ready to heal the wounds festering not only in his heart, but his future mate’s—Keir.
Safe and warm within the embers of Keir’s fireplace, Vidia’s eggs are due to hatch any day. Anticipation fills the once morose halls of the Magical Usage compound. That joy is tempered when Keir’s past crash lands just outside the compound—Keir’s younger brother, the emaciated and damaged gryphon lying atop the damaged dirt.
The past can be a cruel mistress and Keir’s has come calling, the fate of his remaining, biological family on the line. Keir must decide what more he’s willing to sacrifice to save those he abandoned centuries ago.
Unwilling to lose another he loves, Lazarus will travel halfway around the world to support and protect his future mate. Keir no longer needs to fight alone. Wyvern fight for their mates, and Lazarus is more than willing to become his gryphon’s fire.
Gryphon’s Fire is the third installment in the Magical Usage Council Misadventure series and should be read in order. Gryphon’s Fire contains adult themes and should be read by those meeting that requirement.
Gryphon’s Fire is a m/m romantic fantasy. Gryphon’s Fire contains a gryphon who believes martyrdom is his lot in life, a handsome wyvern determined to prove his gryphon wrong, a cheeky house dweller who believes intelligence is inversely proportional to one’s height, two beautiful wyvern eggs who hatch into mischievous young, a narcissistic gryphon in desperate need of a lesson in humility, a dangerously confused djinn, what one does to protect found family as well as those connected by blood, forgiveness, learning what home truly means, and as always, a HEA for our main characters.
