“Yeah, definitely.”
She started walking away.
I looked her up and down.
She caught me.
“Stop looking at my ass.”
“Why you got it out then?”
“My ass is always out.”
“Exactly.”
She laughed.
“Bye, Levin.”
“Bye, Kiana.”
Then everybody started coming.
That’s when the real fucking chaos started.
Xay and Sam pulled up with Zion, Amari, Michael and Serenity.
Four fucking kids alone made it sound like somebody had released a daycare into my house.
Zion and Amari were through the door damn near before their parents.
“Uncle Lev!”
“Yo, don’t tear my shit up.”
“We not!”
That meant they absolutely were.
Michael came in behind them while Xay had bags in both hands and Sam came through carrying a pan.
I looked at her.
She looked at me.
Then immediately looked somewhere the fuck else.
I smiled.
“Happy Thanksgiving,” Xay said.
“Same to you.”
“Where you want this shit?”
“Kitchen.”
Sam walked past me with her pan.
