by E. Wolff

I was in my own personal silent fucking hell.

Everybody else was laughing, drinking, having a good-ass time like this was some normal family Thanksgiving.

Me?

I was in this bitch with all my fucking kids.

All six of them.

Zion, Amari, Michael and Serenity were the only four anybody knew belonged to me.

Then Carter was over there with Avery.

Collin was with Heather.

Both sitting in the same fucking house with my wife and our four kids, and I was the only motherfucker in here who knew all six of them were siblings and not cousin and GREAT cousin.

Shit was crazy when I really thought about it.

And if all six of my fucking kids being under one roof wasn’t enough, Heather’s friend kept looking at me.

Destiny.

Every time I happened to look her way, the bitch was already looking at me.

Not staring.

That would’ve been too obvious.

Just these little looks.

Then she’d sip her drink or turn back to Heather like she wasn’t just watching my ass.

I narrowed my eyes.

Yeah.

That bitch knew.

Had to.

Knowing Heather’s ass, she probably told Destiny everything. Probably told her about us fucking around, Collin being mine, me telling her I was leaving Sam—all my fucking business.

Great.

Just what I needed.

Another motherfucker in this house knowing some shit they wasn’t supposed to know.

Destiny caught me looking again.

This time she raised her glass a little and smiled.

I ain’t smile back.

The fuck was funny?

Heather said something to her and Destiny leaned over, whispering something back.
