Both of them laughed.

I looked away.

“Nah,” I mumbled.

I wasn’t doing this shit to myself.

For all I knew, them bitches could’ve been talking about macaroni and here I was ready to have a fucking anxiety attack.

Still.

I made a mental note to ask Heather exactly how much Destiny knew.

Dinner was pretty much over now. The catering people were clearing shit out, wrapping up what was staying, packing trays and carrying the rest back toward the kitchen. Everybody else had spread out around Lev’s place. Music was louder now. Bottles were open. Drinks were getting poured. Kids were running around like they hadn’t just ate enough food to put a grown man to sleep.

I grabbed my cup and took a drink.

Then my eyes went across the room.

Avery.

And fucking Keith.

They were standing off in the corner talking, and this bitch had both arms around his neck.

Keith leaned down.

Avery kissed him.

I scoffed.

Un-fucking-believable.

I had just fucked that bitch into submission back at her house, and she still brought this nigga to Thanksgiving.

Now she was kissing all on him right in front of me.

Avery opened her eyes while they were still close and caught me looking.

Bitch smiled.

I shook my head.

She knew exactly what the fuck she was doing.

Keith said something in her ear.

She laughed and kissed him again.

I looked away before I pissed myself off more.

Couldn’t even say shit.

What the fuck was I supposed to do?

Walk across my brother’s house in front of my wife, my kids, my parents-in-law, Heather and everybody else and tell Avery to stop kissing her nigga?

I’d look fucking insane.
