“BITCH!”
“I said what I said.”
I threw a shirt at her.
She caught it.
“You happy.”
That made me pause.
I looked at myself in the mirror.
And shit.
I did look different.
Not because Levin had some magical dick that cured betrayal.
I was still angry.
Still hurt.
Still disgusted.
There were moments I looked at Avery’s name in my phone and wanted to cry.
Moments I thought about Carter and had to remind myself that baby hadn’t done anything to anybody.
Same with Collin.
There were moments I looked at my own children and got pissed all over again because Xay hadn’t only complicated my life.
He had complicated theirs.
But underneath all of that?
I was lighter.
Happier.
Fulfilled.
Fucked right.
All of that.
And I had finally done something I’d been putting off.
I went and talked to a divorce lawyer.
Xay didn’t know yet.
But he would.
That nigga had been cheating on me for damn near half our fucking relationship.
With my family.
