Spencer: Am I right?

Spencer: I feel like I’m right.

Rush: Damn straight!

Rush: You feel so right.

Spencer: Margo said they’re staying there.

Rush: Yeah, I hate the quiet.

Spencer: I didn’t plan on being quiet.

Spencer: Did you?

Rush: Don’t mess with me, Spen.

Spencer: Oh, Rush…

Spencer: I haven’t even started teasing you yet.

Rush: Fuck!

Rush: That’s like going from one to two hundred mph!

Spencer: You don’t always have to go full throttle...

Spencer: There’s something to be said about a slow and steady burn.

Rush: I’ll go as slow or fast as you want me too.

Rush: I just need you to want me.

Spencer: I’ve never wanted anything more.

Those three little bubbles are possibly the most excruciating pain known to modern man. I fall backward onto the bed, watching those damn things for what feels like a year.

It’s been two minutes. Literally.

A knock at the door pulls me from my pain and misery. I sit up, making my best impression of a pout. There’s another knock, confusing me as to why Margo hasn’t just walked in like always.

“Yeah, come in.”

The door cracks slightly, drawing my attention from my screen. When it opens further, so do my eyes. Followed by my mouth. As Spencer walks through it, smiling. I spring from the bed, checking through the hauler before shutting the door.

“What are you doing? Did anyone see you?”

“Hello to you too.” She sinks her teeth into her bottom lip, turning it crimson. “I guess I should’ve asked if this would be okay. Sorry.”

“Hell, no. This is perfect, I just… thought you wanted to be careful.”

Spencer shrugs. “I don’t think I can wait; I need you now.”

“Are you sure? What about everything else?” What in the hell am I saying? Spencer’s here, telling me she wants me and needs to be with me. And I’m second-guessing it.

She steps back, her head drops. “I-I thought I was. Maybe I’m not.”

“Not happening, Spen.” I slide my arm around her waist, dragging her to me. I have my mouth on hers before she can begin to protest.
